Most directories stop at a FREE or FREEMIUM badge. That badge does not tell you whether the free allowance is ten credits or ten thousand, whether a card is needed up front, or whether the output is yours to publish. Those are the details that decide whether a tool is usable, so they are the details we collect.

How we check it

Every entry carries a checked-by-hand flag. When we have read the vendor's own pricing page and confirmed the numbers, the entry shows them. When we have not, it shows Not verified instead. We would rather show an empty field than a confident guess, because the whole directory is only worth visiting if those fields can be trusted.

Three things we score

• There is a free tier you can keep using
• You do not need a credit card to start
• The output has no watermark and can be used commercially

Each one scores a point. The “Start free” section on the home page only lists tools that score all three and have been checked by hand.

Where the data comes from

Vendor pricing pages and documentation. We currently list 1088 tools. Nothing here is scraped and published unreviewed.

Money

Listing a tool is free and always will be. Some outbound links carry an affiliate or referral parameter, which is how the site pays for itself. It never changes the order tools appear in, and it never turns an unverified free tier into a verified one. See the contact page for sponsored placements.
